«Two sisters and twelve months»

«Two sisters and twelve months» is a concert show based on the «Twelve Months», an Eastern European fairy-tale and Evelina Petrova’s album «Years cycle», inspired by the same story. Thea Skallevold plays all the roles. Evelina Petrova presents the pictures with her distinctive music and impressive voice usage. The performance is produced in collaboration with Mette Renolen and Johannes Skyberg from the Tour Organization for Hedmark.

«Far in a dark forest lived three women: one widow, her daughter Marfa, and the widow’s widow, Masjenka. The widow loved Marfa, but hated Masjenka because she was better and smarter and prettier than her own daughter. Masjenka is sent out to perform impossible tasks: in mid-January she has to look for violins, strawberries and apples in the snow. Despaired and frozen she meets twelve mysterious men sitting around a fire: they are the twelve months of the year … «
